The Healthcare Provider course, known to some, as CPR for the Professional Resuer, is designed to teach skills of CPR for adult, child, and infant victims. The course includes one and two rescuer CPR for adults, relief of foreign body airway obstruction, ventilation with a barrier device as well as a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of the automated external defibrillator. One rescuer CPR, foreign body airway obstruction, and ventilation with a barrier device and bag-mask device with oxygen are also covered for the child and infant population. A written evaluation is given and an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card will be issued after successful completion of the course.
